{"id":3916,"date":"2021-12-20T20:08:47","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T01:08:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radio100.moeb.ca\/?p=3916"},"modified":"2021-12-21T15:30:48","modified_gmt":"2021-12-21T20:30:48","slug":"the-future-of-telecommunications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radio100.moeb.ca\/en\/the-future-of-telecommunications\/","title":{"rendered":"The future of telecommunications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To celebrate the completion of a major student project commemorating the centennial of Canada\u2019s first radio broadcasts, Matthieu Dugal, from <em>Moteur de recherche<\/em>, hosted a conference and panel discussion on the future of telecommunications at \u00c9TS.<\/p>\n<p>This panel, held in room A-1600, was also broadcasted live on the radio by a daring graduation project to replicate the technical prowess achieved by Marconi 100 years ago. The broadcast was heard on 1350AM for people within a 5 km radius of the \u00c9TS!<\/p>\n<p>The event also featured old radio equipment and demonstrations of mechanical gramophones.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.etsmtl.ca\/docs\/nouvelles\/2021\/pfe-centenaire\" width=\"600\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Panel discussion participants:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rick Nabki<\/strong>, a professor-researcher at LACIME, currently working on a project to update the spark radio, created by Marconi.
